1981 HOLOCAUST MEMORlAL SERVICES IN ATLANTA, GEORGIA

Shown above are L-R: Marvin B. Schpeiser, Dir. of Community Relations, Atlanta Jewish Federation; William A. Scott, III, Advertising Manager, Atlanta Daily World; and Alex Gross, a Buchenwald survivor, Scott, a photographer-reconnaissance sergeant with the 183rd Engineer Combat Battalion, was part of the U.S. Third Army liberating forces which entered Buchenwald on April 11, 1945. Scott and Gross met in the program initiated by Dr. Fred W. Crawford in 1979 at Emory Univ., to locate GI's who witnessed the Holocaust.
